The oldest tradition in golf is an invitation. The Guest Book introduces members willing to host, golfers hoping to be hosted, and anyone in want of a fourth.
How it works
You are introduced. Every member keeps a card: their handicap, their home club, when they play, and whether they will host, visit, or both.
You agree a game. When two members both say yes, the book opens a conversation. Propose a tee time, agree it, and it lands on both tee sheets.
You play, and it counts. Mark a card, countersign your partner’s, and the round goes on the club’s boards.
For golf clubs
Most clubs’ social life happens in a WhatsApp group nobody owns and the secretary cannot see. The Guest Book gives the club a room it owns and administers: the members’ table, the roll, competitions, and a notice board that reaches every member’s phone. Clubs keep their own page — course details, green fees, their real par and stroke indexes — and their members join with the club’s own code. We never ask a club for its membership list.
Conduct and privacy
Members are 18 or over. Explicit language is filtered and slurs are refused outright, enforced in the database rather than hidden in the app. Any member can block or report another, and reports are read within a day. We hold a name, a handicap, a home club, when you play and one line you write yourself — no email address, no password, no payment card, no home address. Data is held in London. There are no advertising trackers anywhere in the product, and any member can have their account deleted outright.
